Location: Nevis
Hello everyone, welcome back to a glimpse of another beautiful day on board Ocean Star! Today we woke up and enjoyed Mango Sticky Rice with some of the freshest mangos! After breakfast and clean up, we had Oceanography class with Ignacio. After class, we got ready quickly to head out for our island tour of Nevis. Our first stop was a hike to a waterfall that wasn’t seen, as we had to turn around due to a fallen tree, but along the way, we were entertained by Will talking in a southern accent, a cool branch cave where Madaline saw a whipping spider. Once done with the hike, Millie and I did our usual bug check (no bugs!) and then ate lunch right off the path for a fun picnic. After eating lunch, we drove to a sugar cane plantation, which was cool to see some of the island’s history. Then we drove to a cute ice cream shop and all enjoyed some yummy ice cream! For our last stop, we drove to Hamilton’s House and Nevis’s History Museum. As a huge Hamilton fan, I was very excited, and it did not disappoint. Finally, we had seen most of the island, so we drove back to the beach, and while waiting for the dinghy, we all jumped in the water, which was so refreshing after being all hot. Once back on the boat, we did some clean-up and then had some free time. During this Dom, Avi and Oli spotted a barracuda, some people napped or journaled, and then Charley and I enjoyed some popcorn on the Bow Sprits! Showers and a yummy dinner of Bolognese, later we are gearing towards the end of the day with knot class with Aiden and Zoe, and then potentially baking brownies before going to bed before tomorrow’s passage to St Eustatius. Goodnight!
To my family, I love and miss you all so much! Hope booth-bay will be fun and look forward to talking to you soon (sorry i missed you today mom)!
