Hello, friends, families, and fans. Ben here!

So, today was our last day in Saba. We woke up to the smell of warm chocolate croissants prepared by Chef Jack. Students then packed their dive kits up and joined Dive Saba for two incredible dives. They saw turtles, rays, and one extremely friendly nurse shark called Michelle. Once back from diving, everyone tucked into a delicious potato salad and then began class. Today, it is leadership and Oceanography. The students took their final exam and officially finished their oceanography course! Once classes were over, the students began prepping the boat for the student-led passage back to Antigua. As staff, we take a back seat for this passage prep (still keeping a close eye on safety, however). Led by Hannah, Sammy, and Ella, the student crew removed the tarps, removed the sail covers, set up the quarter lifts and lazy jacks, ran the jib sheets, coiled and capsized all sheets, ran the jack lines, ratcheted down the dinghies, lashed down loose items, cleared lifelines, and that isn’t even all the on-deck work. Below systems were checked and items were 40-40 (secured).

We are all stoked to head back to Antigua, wish us luck in Classics, all the best,

PS Stay tuned for awesome photos from this dive from the guides in Saba 🙂
