Hello family, friends, and fans, Staff Ben here Today was another good one. We kicked off this morning to the sound of Captain Drews Cornish Sea Shanty Play List and then got stuck into a breakfast of home-made bagels, eggs and watermelon cooked by Sammy, Evan and Rocco. After a particularly rapid cleanup, led by the Dishy Pit dream team, that is, Hannah, Jack, Kackie, and Heather, the students had their Oceanography literature review presentations. The second class of the morning was Seamanship, taught by Kackie. Based on the salon being covered wall to wall with charts, Im assuming that theyve begun the Nav-Master section of the course. Some down time was then followed by lunch which transitioned nicely into Drews leadership class. The rest of the afternoon was spent on a near by island playing capture flag with Team 1: Drew, Ella, Jack, Hannah, Ben and Alev losing to the far superior Team 2: Myself, Evan, Zoe, Rocco and Sammy. Despite Team 2 winning by a relative landslide I think its only fair that I acknowledge Jack for leaving me with a face full of sand after throwing in a mean side step. Once the game was concluded, students had free time to study, explore, or snorkel. I cant overstate how amazing the marine life is here. In the water today, without even trying, Ive seen Spotted Eagle Rays, Southern Rays, Smooth Trunkfish, Green Turtles, and countless smaller but equally amazing reef fish. An early dinner of burgers and fries was served, which could have rivaled any restaurant, and then, with a pot full of popcorn, the students watched the Caribbean sunset up top the nearest islandbest wishes to everyone reading this from the O-star crew.

I look forward to updating you again.
