Today was a special day because it was the first day we got to experience life under the sea together. We woke up to heavy rain belting down, yet the weather didn’t discourage us. Many of us hadn’t dived in the rain, which excited us. We saw an array of different marine life: fish, lobsters, barracuda, and even baby turtles also saw Amanda S’s scuba goggles fill up with tears when she saw the baby turtle. After the dive, many of us returned back to land to stock up on snacks and explore before we leave for the Caribbean. Some people went to the beach, while others spent time at small cafes and shops. It is a beautiful place, and we have greatly enjoyed our time here in Fernando de Noronha.
