Location: Mountain Point, VG BVI

This morning was loud; half of us woke up to a torrential downpour because we were strung across our hammocks. Then later in the morning, we were woken up by a bilge alarm (it is very loud). After we all got up and got over our general drowsiness, we divided into groups for diving. The advanced divers went for an open water dive, where they did an underwater foot race on the ocean floor and practiced navigation skills with the compass. The open water divers took turns going out to finish up our skills during our confined water dives. After that, we had lunch and set sail to Mountain Point outside of Virgin Gorda. Ben, our captain, taught us about different points of sail and what to do for each one of them, and Tor taught us how to raise them. Later we took our salt-water showers and then ate an amazing meal cooked by our chefs, who also secretly surprised us with brownies. All in all, it was a great day, and I’m excited about tomorrow.
