Hello blog readers & welcome back to today’s rendition of “What did we get up to today.” Lil Mac was our head chef today, and he served us an awesome breakfast of eggs, bacon, potatoes, and some fruit that he managed to… grill. I don’t know, but it all tasted awesome. Next up, the students all took oceanography and marine bio classes. Chloe, Dan, Amy, Lukas, Elis, Watson, Audrey, and Brendan presented their presentations for their literature reviews. Literature reviews were due today, so there was quite a bit of last-minute cramming happening in the saloon prior to class.
After class, it was time to have some free time! A bunch of people got lunch ashore at a cafe. Jesse and Dan headed over to the beach to get a workout, and Dan said it was “really fun.” Watson hiked up to the old fort, and Boston learned about Marrakesh from a local… everyone is really excited to spend the night in some yurts tomorrow night! The remainder of the afternoon was pretty relaxed. Mac and sous chefs Elis and Cat worked on a yummy dinner of BBQ chicken kebabs and rice, other Mac, Claire, and Smash worked on splicing some lines, I spent the bulk of my day working on our meal plan for the passage across the Atlantic, Michelle began grading the lit reviews. Many of the students were spread out on deck, soaking up some sun or working on schoolwork.
Mac’s dinner turned out super delicious, and now everyone is working through their clean-up jobs for the night. Everyone is loving our time here in Morocco. This has been a really cool country to explore. The squeeze question tonight was, “What pastry would the person to your right be?” According to Mac, Jesse would be a little munchkin. Elis said that Claire would be an owl cake pop from Starbucks, and Lillian said that Ben would really dry beans on toast.

My blog writing just came to a screeching halt to go check out the awesome sunset outside. I think that may be the only picture I have from today, so I’ll stick that one down below. Watson, Grace N, Grace C, Chloe, Audrey, Mich, Claire, and I just walked over to the beach to check it out. On our way back, we saw Lukas, Dan, Eduardo, Eliza, James, and Mac checking it out too.

That’s all for today, folks! Thanks for tuning in!
