Location: Statia
Today started off with some chia seed pudding and a last-minute review. Then we dove right into our practice Nav Master exam: 2 hours of charting and plotting in pairs. Once done, we staggered up to the deck to find a wonderful surprise: Joey had returned!
We ate a quick lunch before setting off for land. Some folks went on a hike up to a volcano caldera, while others explored the nearby town. Someone brought an entire carton of milk with them on the hike, resulting in some strange looks from passers-by and some logistical trickery to try and keep it cold.
Upon return, folks jumped in for a much-needed dip in the ocean and then congregated for a burrito-filled dinner.
Tonight we’re possibly watching a movie. We tried downloading the Princess Bride yesterday, but to no avail, so we might settle down with some popcorn for Blue Planet instead.
As always, I am excited to see what tomorrow will bring!
