Location: St Vincent
We started the day with a delicious breakfast at the helm, said goodbye to Bequia and readied Ocean Star for passage to St. Vincent. With only 8 miles separating the two islands and a wicked current running its course, we decided to motor our way over rather than raise the sails. The sunny skies and relatively smooth sea made for a relaxing passage. Upon arriving in St. Vincent, we took some time to care for our beloved Ocean Star, cleaning her up and showing her off. After lunch on board, the afternoon was ours to do as we pleased. Some chose to catch up on sleep, while others cranked out schoolwork. One group set out on an ice cream expedition, while another swam to a nearby island to hike and snorkel about the surrounding reef areas. Monday drew to a close with swimming off the ship, a tasty chili dinner and an OCE review session to ready ourselves for the upcoming quiz. A peaceful day of R&R seemed to be just what we needed before facing the busy week ahead.
