Location: Mauritius

Theres nothing better than starting off the morning with avocados, eggs, and carbs- which is exactly what we had for breakfast this morning, courtesy of chefs Kyler, Vera, and Destiny. After breakfast, we were set loose on Mauritius, and I spent a lovely morning at a cafe drinking an iced chai and reading papers about hurricanes.
We filled our afternoon with oceanography and leadership classes, as well as a topside scrub of Vela to get her nice and shiny again. We finished our scrub to a beautiful pink sky as the sun set over Port Louis- just in time for dinner.
We ended the day with a game of squeeze-and-seek (never again), and some navigation master practice problems to keep our skills sharp.
