Location: Underway to St. Lucia

Bright skies and a small breeze from the east were the scenes today as we continued our journey west toward our Caribbean destination. Classes today were Oceanography followed by SLD, where students presented on self-chosen topics that ranged from mixed martial arts to old-time shag dancing. When classes were concluded, Argo came to a halt over a 6,000ft sea-mount, of which the peak was still over two miles below us for a bit of swim time. Everyone was given the usual brief about pelagic predators (i.e., oceanic white tips) and afterward didn’t hesitate to jump right in! With everyone back onboard, Argo came back on course and continued into the sunset for dinner.
