Location: Havana, Cuba
Cuba, today we had an amazing cultural experience. We got a chance to visit the old town of Havana. This is something which most people will only get a chance to dream about. To me it seemed like a mix of European and Caribbean cultures time warped back into the 50s. There were lots of small cafes with bands playing. There were shops, and museums, and markets. There were old cars, new cars and bicycle taxis all sharing the same road. We had a great lunch at a square near an old cathedral. While we were waiting for our food a band started playing and some of shipmates decided to get up and dance with a few of the local street performers. Tonight we plan to go out and experience the local night life, which should be exciting as there is a bowling alley just a few minutes walk from the boat. All in all a great day.
