It has been a bittersweet day on the O-Star. We started off with breakfast on deck and a briefing from Captain Simon. We then departed Great Harbor Peter and made our last passage back to Soper’s Hole, where we first started our voyage. Mega Boat Appreciation came next. From 08:00 to 15:00 the staff and crew scrubbed and sweated until O-Star was spotless. We took a break from cleaning to eat our last PB and J and sandwiches on board. As the cleaning neared an end the crew got excited to take their first “real” shower on land. Post showers we convened back on board for our last squeeze question, which was followed by a delicious dinner at Pusser’s. We ended our voyage with a fabulous night. A few tears were shed. Overall, it has been an amazing adventure and learning experience. The staff is incredible and the friendships that have formed will last beyond our departure tomorrow.
