Location: Underway to the Caribbean

Today started for me at midnight with the 12 -4 watch. Surprisingly, this is actually the best watch to have during long passages. The morning started the typical way, people waking up at their leisure, just in time for lunch. The only very exciting difference was the absence of the engine hum. We were finally full on sailing. It’s a pretty neat thing to be reliant on the wind on a passage like this. “Lunch” was a great way for a lot of people to start the day. Thatcher cheffed up some breakfast burritos, and the crowd was very pleased with them. Meg brought out her speaker just as lunch was finishing up to one, allowing Shane, Charlie, and Aiden to show off their best dance moves to the song “King of Time”, and secondly to announce that the time on Argo was changing. At 1:00 PM, the time became 12:00 PM. After lunch, it was more of the same, Marine Bio and Seamanship. First was a lecture about Marine fish, and secondly was some more practice for our Nav Master exam in the upcoming week. Shane was sure to let us know at the beginning of the program that this exam has about a 50% pass rate. Yikes. Definitely some studying to be done in the next few days. With the time change enacted, I took the time to relax and watch a movie in my bunk, not super exciting, but some personal time is needed every now and then. Finally, it was time for some dinner. There is currently a shortage of forks on the boat, so I, along with some others, enjoyed our pasta with a spoon, or two butter knives pretending to be chopsticks. And that about sums it up. Today was a good day.

Mom, Dad, Chase, Rachel, Nolan, Brody, Ryder, miss you guys. Praying for you. Love you all.
