Location: Green Island, Antigua
Our second day on Green Island began with an MTE class during which we discussed navigational strategy and inshore pilotage including ranges, transits, clearing bearings and tacking corridors as well as electronic navigation, using radar GPS and AIS. Following class the crew spent time working on research projects or visiting the beach. In the afternoon, the two divemaster candidates were kept busy doing an underwater gear exchange while the two students in pursuit of their rescue diver spent the afternoon “rescuing” each other and removing each other from the water in various different ways. Tonight will feature a Marine Biology lecture.
