Location: A Sail Set

With a crew of only fourteen, it’s all hands when the sails need setting. As soon as Argo was past the Civitavecchia breakwater and out at sea, Sam gave us the thumbs up to begin our first shipmate-led sail set this trip. As we rolled around in the swell, the halyards pulled as fast as they could, the downhauls and reefing lines eased, the sheets were tended, and the mermaid lines were made fast. This may have been our fastest sail set yet. Now ready for our next overnight passage, this time to Porto Vecchio, Corsica, the crew broke into watches and excited for another night of amazing stars.
