This morning, I woke the crew with some help from Avery while Emily and Zac were cheffing away, making pancakes. We were all so excited for pancakes, people lined up over and over again for seconds and thirds. After breakfast, we moved to the fuel dock to fill up our tanks and prepare the ship for passage. Emma, Macy, and Lanie climbed up on the main mast to take the sail bag off the sail, then Shane taught Henry how to prepare the engine room, and Lizzy and Jack made the couch (flaked out the main sheet on deck).
After passage prep, we got ready to go to shore to stock up on snacks for the last time before we start sailing tomorrow morning. While we were on shore, Rooke and Alexsis went to the grocery store to buy pomegranates and cereal. Alex, Brady, and Greyson bought ice cream to try to cool down and then proceeded to eat three whole ice cream tubs. Dylan, Payton, and Brig went out to lunch, where Brig left them to pay the bill while he was listening to his song that we all thought he had made up. When we got back to the boat, the staff walked us through how we were going to do boat checks every hour underway. Then we put on fresh sheets and took our last ocean showers. During showers, Hayes was attempting (and failing) to teach Maya how to do a backflip, Lana took videos on her camcorder while Lulu and Andrew watched and ate marshmallows.
Later, Mimi, Avery, and I made homemade French fries for dinner. While Zac was finishing cooking dinner, we sat on deck and watched the sunset. Rooke spotted a turtle that we all watched poke its head out of the water for a little bit before it swam away. After dinner, we learned about our watch groups, and everybody was excited. Before bed, Logan, Sadie, and Emma played Mario on the TV.
