Hello again, family and friends! After a slight delay, we finally got underway to St Barths. After oceanography class in the morning, Nick briefed us on the sail plan, picked up our anchors, and raised the sails. We ran into a little bit of rain, but soon were in great conditions for some sailing. We broke into our watch teams after lunch, with anyone not on duty taking some nap time. After a little bit of passage, we started to recognize a bunch of islands. Monserrat, Nevis, and even our starting point, Antigua. It’s crazy to think that we have now completed a whole lap of most of the Caribbean and are heading farther north than we have been this whole time. Then we had a delicious dinner as the sun started to set, giving us some incredible views of the sun’s rays breaking through the clouds. Now we are winding down for the night, with the plan being to get into St Barths at around 4 am. That’s all for today; I know we are in store for an exciting one tomorrow, but I will let tomorrow’s skipper tell you about that. Also, a happy birthday to Ben’s mom, and happy early birthday to my own! Hope everyone is doing well, we sure are!
