Location: St. Barths
Hi blog!
We spent all night sailing from Guadeloupe to arrive in St. Barths around 6 am, where we anchored in water that looked like Gatorade. This meant long hours spent on watch under the stars sailing and some pretty tired students when we woke up around 9. The first group of NavMasters took the two-hour exam in hopes of getting the certification before we had a lunch of bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches on homemade bagels by Kackie. I think most would rank this a top three meal so far. After lunch, we scrambled to get our stuff together to be shuttled over to shore where we had a surf day! We got in a taxi to the beach, where we rented boards and spent a few hours surfing. Many waves were caught, and lots of water was swallowed, but it was a lot of fun, even though most of us were pummeled a few times. After surfing, we changed and took a very crowded taxi back into town to walk around for about an hour before we went out to dinner at a pizza place. Not just any pizza place, though METER LONG PIZZA (see photos)! It was delicious, and we stopped for ice cream before heading back to the boat, where we attempted some line dancing, and all hung out dancing around the deck before bed. It was a pretty epic day.
Sending love back home!!
Until next time 🙂
