Location: English Harbor, Antigua
Today started out early, around 0600 when the crew of Ocean Star woke up from a good night’s sleep and cast off the lines for our passage to Antigua. Once all the sails had been set, we enjoyed some breakfast and rolled into our watch teams around 0800. Also, at 0800, we gathered on deck to say goodbye to the substance we once thought of as Ambergris (whale snot, which is a valuable and rare substance in the perfume industry). After a few hours at sea, we reeled in our second fish of the trip, which was a small barracuda that we threw back into the ocean. We arrived in English Harbour around 1830 and got the boat anchored. Tonight will be spent by most working on literature review projects that are due very soon, and others will enjoy a free evening with no classes.
