Location: Bali
Hello. Today was a fun day. The staff woke up at 4:30 to get the boat moving to head back to Bali from the Gili Islands. I woke up at 7 am this morning to wake up the rest of the Argo people. Some of them didn’t approve of the music I played to wake them. Specifically, Preston who was very mad that I kept holding a speaker next to his head while blaring music. He was saying things that seemed combative, but I couldn’t hear them over the sound of my sick beats. Breakfast was crepes from E dog (Ian). After breakfast, watch team three was on watch, and, being on the team in question, I went on bow watch with a kid called Boulder Brenner. We looked out for other boats and logs and listened to Immortal by 21 Savage. After bow-watch, we all took a watch team group picture together. It was bittersweet. So lunch came around, and I ate a hefty amount of bacon. After lunch, we had our final Oceanography class with Amanda Shuman, which was also bittersweet. We have enjoyed learning all kinds of new things this semester. When we arrived at our destination, I went to shore for a PCR test with Sydnei, Bo, and Navarre as I am leaving the program early to spend so time in Bangkok. On the ride to the clinic, I took in the beauty of Bali in all its glory. What a beautiful place. The clinic was great. Sydnei, a staff member, was a great help to us children and made the process of PCR testing easy. When we got back to the boat, I engaged in a heated game of Polytopia with Gordon and Jack. Gordon’s strategy didn’t work out too well, and he was eliminated early on, but Jack and I are still waging a heated war. Dinner was BBQ chicken pizza, and it was delicious, and there were TONS of it! No complaints, and lots of full bellies.
