Location: St. Barths
Today was a chill day in St Barts. After breakfast, students attended an Emergency First Response training that spanned all the way until lunch. Before we started eating, we had an unexpected visit. Gregory, media producer at St Barts Actu, a local TV channel, had been following our trip online for over a month, since he last saw Ocean Star in that same dock. Today was his big day. He carried his camera to the dock, ready to interview us. Stay tuned to French TV for morecredit to Gigi for filming, and Oli and Camille for translating.
In the afternoon, a group went diving at the marine reserve just outside the dock, and the rest had some time onshore exploring the stylish boutiques St Barts has to offer. After dinner, the students enjoyed a fire hose drill, and we wrapped up the day with an oceanography lecture.
