Hello there people of the outside world. I will be your guide for today’s events. Things started nicely with a prompt 7 am wake-up, followed by a delicious breakfast of eggs. About halfway through breakfast, those who woke up at 5 am to go to a fort and watch the sunrise returned feeling quite hungry. Shortly after breakfast we students were presented with two choices: go to shore and have some fun before the shops closed, or do a dive for our approaching research papers. I’d say it was about half and half. I was one of those who did a research dive. I’m just trying to dive as much as I can. After lunch, we had Oceanography taught by the big man himself…Alex. After class, the rescue divers suited up and began practicing how to deal with an unconscious diver on the surface. After dragging each other through the water, we all sat down to a dinner of pork and chickpea salad. We ended the day with a Seamanship class and the beginning of passage prep for our next voyage to the legendary Pigeon Island.
