Location: Palma, Mallorca

Good day, all. Today was a rainy but good one. After a nice show of thunder and lightning to start my peaceful morning, I woke everyone up. We did an inside breakfast because of the rain and then got ready for shore time soon after. Once I managed to wrangle everyone on deck, we took our damp dinghy ride to the shores of Palma. I spent my day going into the prettiest stores but only buying the necessities, snacks. So many snacks. The sky was spitting on us the whole day, so by the time we met up to head back to Argo, I felt like a drowned rat. It seemed like we were on shore for a whole day, but it was only a few hours before we were back on the boat for lunch, which was a delicious Mediterranean bowl. After the cleanup, we had our first oceanography quiz. Im scared to know how that went. I should have taken longer so I would still have been writing by the time everyone was checking their answers on the PowerPoint and saying them out loud. I know for next time. Im totally joking, of course. Once that was completed and we did a lecture all about water, we had leadership. The class started with an amazing chapter presentation by Samaantha and Amelia. It was all about the importance of taking time for yourself and recharging your mental battery. They ended it with a dance party, which was a great way for us all to have a moment of fun. We did a personality test afterward, which was scarily accurate. My brain is fried because the day didnt end there. We had our Emergency First Responder final to write, and then the rescue divers had their rescue final. Thankfully, there was some time for ocean showers and relaxation before dinner was ready.

During this time, most, if not all, of the guys were in one room, giving all of us a very loud karaoke/concert. I was also lucky enough to watch Matthew and Teo pull the dinghy into the boat in their matching PJs. The rain continued, and we got organized for dinner below deck. It was some of the best chicken I have eaten on this trip. Thank you, Shane and Cam. To end it off, I asked the squeeze question: What is a moment that has felt surreal during the voyage so far? I loved hearing what moments everyone enjoyedtime to go study for our marine bio exam that is tomorrow.

To my family and friends at home, I love and miss you all. Dawson, I cant wait for a fat hug when I see youmuch love. I cant wait to share all my pictures and stories with you guys. I am going to warn you, theres a lot. It may take a whole day to tell you guys everything that has happened and show you all the photos.
