Location: Provincetown, MA

Hello, my name is Matt, and I was the skipper today. Last night we were on anchor watch for the first time. I was on the 0400-0500 shift with Wilkes. Today we had shore time where we got to visit Provincetown. We saw the coast guard station, where we toured the communications center and got to board and see their rescue and towing boats. After, we climbed to the top of the Pilgrim Monument, where we saw a great view of the bay and town from above. When we went to the store part of town, we had great food, and browsed the stores for some last-minute provisions for our passage across the Atlantic as well as souvenirs. Next, we took the dinghies to our barbecue on the beach with Macs family and dog(Salty). At the barbecue, we were skipping stones, swimming, eating some fresh oysters, learning to backflip, and playing football, where Ophelia was throwing rockets. I also watched the sun set on the bow with Lorelai, Oona, Ridge, Declan, Stella, Ellery, Max, Jerry, and Henry. Tonight we will be keeping watch while underway to Boston and plan to arrive in the morning for a parade.
