Location: Les Saintes
Today started off with shashuka beautifully made by Kyler and Vittoria. After the cleanup, we had our final oceanography presentations as well as our final marine biology lecture about marine conservation. We packed our lunches (peanut butter and jelly) and headed out for shore time just before lunch. We dingied into a really busy beach and had a short 30 min walk to the town. There were so many little clothing and ice cream shops, so we had to check them all out. After some smoothies and samosas, we finished walking through the town. There was an old castle fort up the hill so we decided to go see it, sadly it was closed but it was still worth it for the view and walking around the outside. On our way back to the boat, we got some ice cream and bought some last-minute souvenirs. On the boat, dinner was some unbelievable chicken parmy, and finishing off the day with another great sunset was perfect. As Im writing this, I realize that this is my last blog. I cant believe were already almost at the end of the program. Its been amazing!
