Today we arrived in Sorong early this morning around 7. We were all so excited to see a new place and new culture. We anchored next to a mosque that was playing very cultural music, and it really made us feel like we were in Indo. We started off the day with customs, and the people that were checking us in really enjoyed our company. They even wanted a group picture of all of us. Once customs was complete, we had some free time to either nap if you had an early watch or time to study for the Marine Biology Exam. Lucia and her sous chefs made a great lunch (pesto rice) and dinner (breaded chicken and potatoes). There were no leftovers!!!! Everyone was in great spirits today due to being in a new place and seeing land for the first time in 3 days. We all can’t wait to set off to Raja Ampat either tomorrow or the next day. We had many laughs and appreciations today at the squeeze!
