Location: South Africa

Today was an incredible adventure – we went to the most southern part of Africa. During our hike at Cape Of Good Hope, we saw some incredible views of the sea. We were lucky today in many regards, one being the amazing weather and another being the near escape of a baboon looking to steal some food from a number of people in our group. The baboon came up behind Gabe, and as it approached very close with him not noticing, a student pointed it out, causing the baboon to change its attention and chase her. But luckily, the baboon was scared off by one of the park staff. We had an amazing guide who had lived here in South Africa for many years and had a first-hand experience with the place we visited, which made for a very good and interesting tour. We saw many different animals, from the Baboon to seeing an Antelope. After our adventures at Cape Of Good Hope, we continued our tour to a small town next to the sea, where we saw penguins on the beach. A couple of the students were even able to swim with some! The ocean was very cold, but on such a hot day, it was a relief. As the days of our time on Argo pass, the community builds ever stronger. One can feel the support of their fellow students and staff members. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
