Hello again! I hope this blog finds you all on a sunny, beautiful day-as. That was the kind of day we had here in the BVI! We awoke to our final dive day here in the Caribbean- big sad. However, it was on the amazing wreck of the Rhone. This shipwreck has a lot of history here in the BVIs, and it was the best site to finish up our advanced open water course. We were able to dive off one of the ActionQuest catamarans, as they were moored right on the site. It was cool to see so many GXG divers underwater. Haley, Natalie, and Abi served as my dive buddies, and we had a blast just cruising around underwater and seeing the area. Congratulations to our new advanced open water divers! It is truly remarkable how many of these students had never breathed underwater before last week and now are certified advanced! They’ve done amazing, and, as one of their instructors, I am so so proud and happy for them to experience the wonders of the ocean. After lunch, we all had the opportunity to stretch our legs on land for the first time in a while and hike around Salt Island. We all took in the views, played on the beach, and soaked up the sun. Crazy to look out on the Atlantic and know that we will be out there in just a couple of days! While some got a little roasty today, we are super excited for what tomorrow will bring!
