Location: Les Saintes
Today, we set sail from Antigua to Les Saints. The total trip was 93.9 nautical miles, and we reached a top speed of 12.2 knots. Argo left port around 7 am, and we had all sails raised within an hour, which I thought was great considering this was our first voyage. Personally, I haven’t been around boats that often and have never sailed. At first, it was extremely difficult to figure out how to raise a sail and the proper way of tying a knot, but after patient instructors continuously explained the process, it began to click. Although at times I was extremely frustrated, after glances around, I realized that I had never been anywhere this beautiful and hadn’t experienced anything like it before. Upon looking around this unknown blue abyss, I could feel nothing but peacefulness and hope the feeling never ends.
