Location: Gibraltar
Today, the students hiked the Rock of Gibraltar! We woke up to the sun still completely set. Shockingly, the sundidn’tt rise until nearly 9 a.m.! Despite it being dark outside, we ate our breakfast of eggs and bagels, eager for the day ahead.
After cleaning up, we gathered on the dock to start our hike up to the… summit of Gibraltar. I guess you could call it that (hahaha)! Anywho, the hike up takes place through the town of Gibraltar, where you walk along its main streets and little alleyways.
Upon arrival at the entry gate of the main part of the hike, we spotted our first monkey of the day. The monkeys on the rock are some other breeds. These monkeys are smarter than all of us combined and have been known to steal itepeople’speoples bags when they least expect it. Luckily, we all got through the hike without any monkey robberies.
At the top of the rock, we all enjoyed our packed lunches before heading back down to the main town for a bit of free time before dinner. We all arrived back at the boat just in time to put away all the provisions that Emma had bought for the next 2 weeks! Safe to say, it was A LOT of food. We then ate a yummy dinner and had a bit of free time before heading to bed. It was a great day!
