Location: On Passage
Watch team 2’s day began as we were being relieved from watch promptly at midnight, which had an incredible unobstructed view of stars, planets, and some of the gasses within the galaxy. Today was another beautiful day of passage life with sunny skies and a mild-for-the-Atlantic sea state. Complete with seeing dolphins on two separate occasions and celebrating good ole Tim’s birthday in the best way: with brownies and peanut butter cookies! Plus copious amounts of out-of-sync, out-of-tune, far-too-loud happy birthday singing. We’ve begun our passage into the Atlantic Ocean, heading due east as of 20:27 before we begin our more southerly route to the USVI. It has begun to truly feel like we’re on the way now that we’re seeing more stars, less light pollution, fewer boats, and more of each other.
