Location: The Saints

The crew was anxious to get ashore and explore the quaint islands of Les Saintes, but not before having a nautical science class where we discussed dead reckoning navigation and plotting a course to steer to compensate for current and leeway. The class practiced their skills on the practice charts until they were proficient, and then it was off to shore. Some choose to hike to one of the hilltops, beaches, or up to Napolean’s Fort. The afternoon was capped off by ice cream, which many claim to be the best ice cream in the Caribbean, and then an Oceanography class about ocean currents.
