Good evening or good morning!
I had the night watched the previous day from 8 pm to 12 am; however, I watched team two, and I had to stay up an extra hour and a half to help the next watch team strike the main sail. Finally, I went to bed only to be woken up six and half hours later to get back to watch with my team for the 8 am to 12 pm shift. I was hoping for an easy four hours, however that went out the window. As we woke up for watch, we headed onto the deck only to have to raise the main sail and then strike it once again an hour later. Shout out to Kara and Zac for watching Team One for staying on deck to help us out with everything. It was much appreciated. Following the watch, we had a great lunch with burgers and pasta salad by Kiki and her sous chefs, Isaac and Cecily. Following Lunch, we had marine biology, where we learned about the different zones of the ocean, before having leadership, where we watched an amazing film. We watched Maiden, which is about an all-womens sailing team sailing in an around-the-world race. After the movie, some headed back to the deck to go back to watch or do laundry, while others remained below to enjoy the AC and rest before dinner and their night watches. While lasagna was being made for dinner, Nini, Nicole, and Ben had a mishap in the salon. One of the tables fell off its mounting brackets and had to be fixed. Dinner was great, and then we shared our appreciation for the day and answered the question of the day: If you had a boat, what would you name it? My appreciation of the day was continuing to learn how to operate the generator and water maker in the engine room and my answer to the question was keeping it reel. After everyone shared their answer and said their announcements for the day, we broke off to do our evening jobs. Once again, I was headmaster with Kara, and we had quite the adventure trying to clean the heads again as they were filthy. After our jobs were done, we congregated in the salon to watch the film Dave has been working on which you should check out on YouTube. After another great day at sea, I will be signing off to get some rest before my next watch.
