Location: Charlestown, Nevis
After a passage of almost 24 hours, we were welcomed by dolphins into Nevis. For the rest of the daylight, we enjoyed a swim and most welcome showers. Then we gathered around the tables for our Thanksgiving in July dinner, complete with stuffing and cranberry sauce. We ended the day by doing a night walk on Lovers Beach with the Nevis Turtle Watch in hopes of finding some nesting sea turtles. We managed to get lucky and spotted a hawksbill turtle laying her eggs in a hole. She then wandered back into her home in the great blue ocean. We also saw a turtle trying to get up the drop off of the beach. Overall it was a day filled with enjoyment discovery and learning.
