Location: Port Louis, Mauritius

Today we woke up to the sight of land, which was great after being at sea for 14 days! As we pulled into Port Louis, our chef team prepared lunch, consisting of all of our leftover food. This meant tons of pasta and more cookies, brownies, and pancakes than we were able to eat. We then had a very friendly Mauritian port pilot come on board and help us dock Argo.

The rest of our afternoon consisted of a big (and very much needed) BA (boat appreciation) where every part of Argo got cleaned and scrubbed. The galley got reorganized, the deck was de-rusted, and even the top-sides got scrubbed and polished. We all enjoyed seeing how amazing Argo looked after our hard efforts. Both Ian and Tim agreed that Argo had not looked this nice in a very long time.

It was then time to explore Port Louis and try some of the local cuisines. We were excited to find that Port Louis looks like a mini Disneyland with restaurants and ice cream shops on every corner. After filling our stomachs with yummy food and so so much ice cream, we headed back to Argo. We are all feeling a bit tired and will very soon crawl into our bunks.

Heihei til Mamma og Pappa, jeg kommer hjem snart!
