Location: Underway to Nevis

Today we woke up and sailed all day. We were on our 24-hour passage to Nevis. During the passage, we had class and a few watches. We learned about the rigging on the ship and how the masts are held up. During our Oceanography class, we were given time to plan out our personal projects and work on them some more. Then, after classes, we were close to Nevis. Sailing by was wonderful, especially since we saw a group of dolphins diving in and out of the water.

On our watches, we ran into three ships. The first was an inexperienced sailor who was sailing completely the wrong way, which was very entertaining. After that, we were on course to meet a cargo ship, but they decided to change course and move behind us instead. The last one was by far the worst. It was a group of guys in a speedboat heading toward us before they turned away close to the last second, flying right on by into the sunset.

Finally, at the end of the day after dinner, we made it to Nevis and anchored by the beach.
