Today was one of the most enjoyable days in Egypt yet. This morning the majority of us went on a dive boat for the day, while the rest enjoyed what can only be described as the Egyptian version of Cancun. On the shuttle bus to the dive boat, we passed a KFC, Pizza Hut, TGI Fridays, and a Hard Rock Caf all in a row near the waterfront. This place was definitely your Egyptian dive town. Our first dive was definitely a shock to the system. Short girlish screams were heard after we all surfaced from the initial plunge. Even with two wetsuits and booties, I was shivering within fifteen minutes into the dive. Oh, how I long for Thai 85 degree water. We were served an awesome lunch on board and served hot tea and coffee upon exiting both the morning and afternoon dives. The coral was stunning, the service great, and a full day of laughter mixed with chattering teeth will not be soon forgotten.
