Location: Boni Facio
Bonjour yall, after travelling for around 48 hours, we arrived in the French town of Bonifacio. We started our morning exploring a cave off the coast by splitting up into three groups and setting off in the tenders. When the first group came back, they told us there was a swarm of jellyfish at the entrance (some had the stings to prove it), yet we kept going. To combat this, three of us used our goggles to create a sort of safe conga line from the jellyfish. Once we fully entered the cave, we saw how big it truly was. It had clear blue water and a ceiling that reached the top of the mountain with a giant hole providing light. However, the jellyfish were the least of our problems now because sure enough the French coast guard came by for a visit to inform us we cant swim in the cave. It was okay, though, because we still had the rest of the day to enjoy. After demolishing some delicious quesadillas, we set off to check out the port, and Im not sure what Boni Facio is known for, but if I had to guess, it was for the buildings. All around us there were abandoned bunkers, walls scaling the mountains, and apartments on the edge of cliffs. Beautiful. We ate shore food, enjoyed cold drinks, and explored what we could. After a few hours on the port, we came back and set off to Sardinia. This is when the second kitchen disaster struck. If the other blog hadnt mentioned it, we had some rough weather the other day and sent watermelon flying across the salon. This time it was broccoli, cauliflower, and potatoes. I think the third time is the charm. Dinner still worked out, though, and we had clean vegetables and some sausages. Now were all about to take an ocean showe,r which I am dying to do. Till tomorrow!
