Midnight was the beginning of the day for Watch Team 1 since we had the midnight to 4 am watch. The midnight watches always tend to be a little more peaceful than other watches that often include dance-offs and games. Today, we started our day off with homemade popcorn with Carolyns special recipe to give a little boost of energy for the next few hours. Then, Max grabbed the guitar, and he and Mal worked on learning a few new songs. Morgan Wallen would be proud. There actually was a lot to look out for on this watch since we had a few boat sightings and even had to wake Tom because one was within 3 miles. After watch, we all slept until about noon while the chefs were hard at work for the day. Abi, Mal, and Heather prepared a great lunch of naan bread with hummus and olives. After a swift cleanup, we went down below to get a little chart practice in before are Navigation Master exam next week. After a couple of hours and a lot of questions later, we had leadership class. Today, Sydney and Kayla presented for the group. We all performed skits on different ways to say no in a situation and had to guess if they were assertive, unassertive, or aggressive. After the presentation, we had a couple of hours to get ahead on schoolwork or nap before dinner, and we even saw some dolphins for those up on deck. For dinner, the chefs made shepherds pie with crepes for dessert. To end the night, we heard everyones rendition of their favorite noises. We heard a lot of beeps, buzzes, and bings.
