Location: Somewere at sea

Hello everybody! Your fellow Norwegian girl is back as a skipper to tell you all about this amazing day at sea. My day started at 3.30 this morning when Kelsey woke me up for my shift that started at 4 am. Toby helmed for 1,5 hours just so he wouldn’t fall asleep. Chance, Emma, Anna, Penelope, and Felipe struggled to stay awake while Ash and Claire made sure that they did. I, however, was busy setting up my GoPro camera to do a timelaps-day-on-passage (one picture attached is from the timelapse). I don’t remember who won Forbs (guessing when the sun will rise), but my 06.07 was way off! The sunrise was beautiful as usual, and so was the nap I took after my shift ended at 8 am. A lot of people used the morning to study for the oceanography quiz that was coming up after lunch. Lunch was a really good pasta pesto with salad served by today’s head, Emma. Next, we had Oceanography and Leadership classes, with a little snack and chill time between the classes. The motor was running all day due to lack of wind, however all the dolphines in the sunset during our delicious pizza dinner made up for it! It is currently two days and 10 hours til our estimated arrival, and although we have had a great passage so far, we are all very excited for the Galapagos island. I almost forgot! Today, we had seven Fredricks bird-pooping at us during dinner; it was a blood bath. If you want to see the timelapse video, I will probably be posting it on my Instagram when I have internet again. 🙂 Thank you for today!!! Sandra
