We woke to an early breakfast and saw the sun rise over the mountains of Dominica. Our friend Pancho led us on a hike to the Boiling Lake. The long journey to the peak was rewarded by a relaxing hot mud facial and a dip in a collection of pools heated by thermal vents. Once we arrived at the Boiling Lake we had a pbandj lunch. The summer 40-day class of 2008 left their mark at the lake. The hike overall took about 8 hours. At the bottom we took a refreshing swim through a cavern that was used in the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean II. Tonight we are having a BBQ at Dive Dominica. Considering this has been one of the most physically demanding days thus far, it has also been the most relaxing.
