The morning dawned grey and drizzly over Ocean Star. After breakfast this morning, some of the shipmates headed into St. Johns, the Capital of Antigua, to see some more sights on the island. The rest stayed on board and settled into the salon for some rainy day activities like practicing navigation and knot-tying. Mark even started making a rope mat. This afternoon, we waited in anticipation of the arrival of the 3rd place finisher in a transatlantic rowing race, but as of now, they have yet to arrive. The two men in the rowboat have been rowing since December – this year, there was little wind to help them along, so it’s been taking a lot longer than usual. Tomorrow, we all look forward to heading out for a nice sail and saying goodbye to Antigua.
