I was trying to start this off with a rhyme, but the best Alex and I could come up with was something like

Hello, my name is Sarah.
I like going to the beach.
I am not good at rhyming
We are out of your reach

Anyways, this morning started at 7 am when I woke everyone up with the song “My California” by Wade Bowen. After hanging out for a few minutes, I realized I forgot to wake everyone up in the fo’csle, so then I did that. Breakfast was yogurt and granola with some eggs and bacon bits cooked by our talented head chef Sunny with Fizz and Alex as sous chefs. It was raining this morning, so we gladly put up the tarp for breakfast.

Then we went right into Oceanography, where Sam taught us about water density and how it’s affected by salinity and temperature (I think?). After that, Amanda helped us review for our first Marine Bio exam (which is in 2 days…). We reviewed photosynthesis, cyanobacteria, and more. We then got some time to write our oceanography papers study, and I almost finished my leadership presentation! Lunch was just as tasty as breakfast- Sunny cooked us Mexican Rice! After lunch and cleanup, we got ready for our Indian River Tour, which, BTW, is where Calypso’s hut is in Pirates of the Caribbean. I was very excited about this, and we all prepared by watching one of the movies two nights ago.

The Indian River was so beautiful! We split into two groups to measure salinity, turbidity, and pH while being rowed along the river. My group’s tour guide called himself Superman, and he showed us all the cool things around the river. Like crabs, flowers, and even an iguana (which was pointed out to me for 2 minutes, and I still didn’t see it). We also got to walk around a little bit, and Superman led us to see some pigs! Then when we got back to the boat, Superman cut us all up some fresh coconut, which was amazing.

Once the tour was over and we got back on the boat, we took some saltwater showers and had a dance party in the saloon before dinner! Tonight, we had some sort of Pad Thai mixture, but it was really good! Then we did squeeze, and my question was, “What is something you really value in your life.” Anyways then we did cleanup. Ash and Hedrick just returned with the provisions, so everyone is helping with that while I write this.

Oh yeah, and Savannah got Open Water Certified today!!

Isaac also wanted to wish a Happy 17th Birthday to his brother Nathan, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also to my friends and family, I miss you all so much!!
