Location: Bora Bora

Bora Bora is not as sunny as advertised. It seemed the rain attempted to hinder every activity we partook in today, yet we made the most of the less than satisfactory conditions. First, we prepared to depart French Polynesia by going through customs in the main town on the island. The town seemed lively and has gotten me excited about our day ashore tomorrow. Once we returned to Argo, we ate a delicious BBQ chicken lunch. The lunch made me feel a little closer to home. Between lunch and before we began diving, we had some downtime to read and write in our journals. The break and self-reflection time was lovely. We then took turns diving at the reef and had a wonderful experience. Life was abundant. Some of us even saw some rays and eels. Tonight the new crew members are finishing up their Open Water Certifications while the rest of us are having another Marine Biology class.

I am looking forward to exploring the island tomorrow before our first major passage.
