For me, the day started exactly at 7 when Sierra woke me up and let me know I was skipper. Breakfast was a delicious meal of strawberry muffins, yogurt, eggs, and so much bacon. After a quick clean-up, we had a marine bio class where we learned all about different types of worms and slugs. After marine bio, we took our IYT certification exam (that we were all totally 100% prepared for) and rolled into a lunch of sandwiches. At lunch, we saw the ‘Below Deck’ crew film a very dramatic episode right across the dock from us. We managed to convince Sam to let us runoff for a spontaneous ice cream run before digging in and scrubbing ole O Star from top to bottom. We had a crew on the deck (lead by Kelly and her toothbrush) while the rest of us scrubbed the salon and the heads (including the bilges and behind the oven). After BA, some people showered and got caught on up on work. Just before our dinner Brett and I were messing around with the soccer ball on the dock, and I managed to kick it into the water. Brett heroically jumped into the somewhat gross harbor water to get the ball. Dinner was baked mac n cheese (again, with so much bacon) followed by a fitting squeeze question of “what kind of cheese would the person to your right be?”. Now we have to put away provisions, so the blog ends here.
peace out, homies,
Alex
