Location: Underway to the Galapagos
This morning we woke up to a delicious breakfast of pumpkin pancakes. Following breakfast, we prepped Argo for our 900-mile sail to the Galapagos. Around 10 am, we lifted our anchor and started our sail. Once underway, we enjoyed Huevos Rancheros for lunch. At 1 o’clock, everyone sat down in the saloon to keep working on their OCE lit reviews. Once class was finished, everyone gathered on deck to raise sails. We all thought it went smoothly until we realized that the fisherman sheet was twisted. It took about two hours to solve the problem, and Kris even had to go up the mast. We brought him down pretty quickly in the end because he felt extremely seasick, and he thought he was about to boot (which never happens). Later on, we had a delightful dinner consisting of scalloped potatoes and Alfredo pasta. Right now, everyone is resting below or settling into their watch for the next few hours. I hope everyone at home is doing well. I can’t wait to see you all in about 50 days! Miss you!
