Location: Underway to Bali

Our third day of passage began with Max on watch team 1 hooking a few small Bluefin tuna – sadly, only small ones that were released, but hopes are high that there are bigger fish out there. There’s a friendly rivalry between watch teams to see who’s going to be the first to bring in dinner. We had an OCE course where we learned about surface ocean circulation and surface currents, followed by the first Emergency First Responder course for those who want to become first aid and CPR certified. The passage continued on, with the glassy ocean extending out to every horizon. On the first watch of the night, we officially entered the Indian Ocean and came upon some oil platforms, which lit up the night sky. With clear skies and calm seas, we motor on toward Bali.
