Location: Underway to Nuka Hiva
My day started with watch team 1 on the 4-8. The watch started at a slow pace of 4-ish knots. Ben put in a shift and got us right back on course as the wind picked up. We watched another incredible sunrise while the moon still lit up the water. To finish our watch we mega eased the main sail, and watch team 2 took over from there. As far as Ive heard, all the watches went well. Most people slept right until 11:30, but the stuffy heat from a lack of wind had a couple of us happily out of bed. James, Harrison, and Paloma made a nice Mac and cheese with some skipjack tuna from yesterday. It was thoroughly enjoyed. After cleanup everyone who is doing rescue diving watched the rescue diver videos and completed the exam. There was a lot of funny acting on the PADI videos with the highlight being rescue breathes through the nose. After that, many stayed up to work on the final assignments of the trip. Maya W entertained with a comical fall over the couch. Fortunately, she landed well and is completely fine. Next was dinner, which was curry and naan bread made by Maya L and Paloma. Once again, great. Lets hope the heads hold up over the next 24 hours. For squeeze, everyone shared their favourite day of the trip with a variety of different places popping up, but Dominica and San Blas popped up the most. After cleanup we finished the day with mega easing the staysails to the backdrop of the sunset.
I hope everyone is doing well across the world. Everyone is excited to make contact with their people again.
To my family, I hope youre healthy and happy, and all the animals on the farm are doing well. Love you all.
Catch ya on day 90, Cheers!
