Location: Charlestown, Nevis
Our first passage started with everyone feeling good. The swell was high, and it was pretty bumpy as we set sailed yesterday evening about 17:30, but we were all in high spirits. As the sunset, we enjoyed some ramen noodles for dinner en route for Nevis. We took turns on watch through the night, and though it got a bit bumpier and some people started to feel the effects of seasickness, everyone rallied, and we continued forward. There were a few clouds in the sky, but the stars were bright, and the Milky Way was very apparent. The seas calmed down as we got closer to our destination; we passed by Saba, Statia, and St Kitts, admiring their awesome dormant volcanoes. We ate lunch, and then most people who were not on watch took the opportunity to get some sleep. We arrived at Nevis at around 17:00, at which point everyone was happy to be able to shower and prepare to go to shore for dinner. Land, yay!
