Location: Portsmouth, Dominica

Our day began with the rising of the sun, as we pulled up the anchor at 6:45 am. Most were still asleep, but for those on deck, it was quite a sight to be rolling through the waves with the sun coloring the clouds in the background. The trip was short-lived, however, as we anchored again just around the corner, and right in time for breakfast. The rest of the morning was then spent on land, exploring the town. But we got back in the early afternoon so that we could prep for our second inter-island sail. We were soon off on the three-hour journey to Dominica, which we arrived at just in time to watch as the sunset, a rightful end to a similarly started day, and a great way to begin our time on a new island.
